Welcome to Northeast Community School! We welcome all adult students, age 16 and older, who are interested in earning their GED, making up high school credits, learning to read with a one-on-one tutor, taking child care classes or learning English for Speakers of Other Languages . . . regardless of your previous academic history. We strive to create a learning environment where every student feels accepted and cared for unconditionally . . . a place we hope feels like home. Come learn with us!

HIGH SCHOOL CREDIT


How to Register for a High School Credit Class:

Students must obtain a completed High School Credit Referral Form from their day school Guidance Counselor and bring it to Northeast Community School on the night they enroll in class. The Northeast Community School office (Building 5, Room 2) is located at 1717 54th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Florida.

There are four main subjects a student can take at night school but she/he can only take one class each evening because the courses are 2 1/2 hours long. All classes are available to any currently enrolled high school student. Monday-Thursday are the only nights high school credit classes are offered:

English: (M, W 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm)

English I, II, III, IV

Mathematics: (T, TH 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm)

Algebra I & II, Algebra IA & B, Geometry, Business Math, Informal Geometry

Social Studies: (M, W 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm)

American History, World History, American Government, Economics, Psychology, Sociology

Science: (T, TH 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm)

Biology I, Marine Science, Earth/Space Science, Physical Science, Ecology, Integrated Science I
